I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a snickerdoodle before. Honestly! John loves them, so I felt inclined to throw together a couple batches to see what the fuss was all about. In one batch I made Pumpkin Snickerdoodles, and the other batch I made regular snickerdoodles just for John. I’ve been experimenting with using pumpkin puree in things I bake this month, and so far it’s been a huge success and a hit with my friends and husband 🙂 So here’s my fourth and final “fall favorites” pumpkin recipe for October – I hope you all have enjoyed making these with me! I was trying to think whichh recipe was my favorite one, and I seriously loved all of them. The pumpkin muffins though, now those were MOUTH WATERING! And I heard lots of great reviews from you all who tried my donut hole recipe too, saying they were gobbled up in 1 day!! Now, what ingredient should I focus on baking with for the month of November?!
When I was planning a pumpkin patch meetup the other day for a group of my mom friends and our babies, I wanted to gift each of them something festive and fun to say thanks for coming out. And what better way to do so than with food! ❤ So I whipped up a batch of these Banana Oatmeal Muffins and added in walnuts. I made each girl a goody bag with one muffin in it, and tied it off with twine and a simple note – a yummy, quick, and easy treat to celebrate the fall season. Here’s how to make your own fall-themed goody bag to give to your girlfriends at your next get together!
It’s been so nice to finally get back into the swing of baking all the time! Now that we have more of a routine with baby izzy, I have more freedom to spend time in the kitchen again. This month, I wanted to try and work with pumpkin puree – something I’ve never baked with before – and so far, it has given me some super yummy recipes! Last week, I made these skinny pumpkin muffins (if you haven’t tried them yourself, stop right now and go bake em…you will love them!) and this week I decided to try some healthy pumpkin spice donut holes. Next week and just in time for Halloween, I’ll be posting a recipe for easy Pumpkin Spice Snickerdoodles! Even though it’s sunny and 85 most days here in San Diego during October, I’m completely mentally immersed in Fall ❤ I brought out my decorations the last weekend of September, got some yummy scented soaps and candles for the house, and have already gone to the pumpkin patch three times now. There’s just something magical about the changing of seasons, blustery days, and golden hues slowly blanketing the trees. Speaking of magical, I had this pumpkin muffin recipe that I’ve been dying to try (it’s my first time baking with pumpkin puree!!!) but wanted to alter it so it’s healthy and full of good, clean ingredients.
I’m a huge fan of oatmeal cookies and I used to bake them all the time several years ago. But then I learned new recipes, started trying new things, and thus forgot about these sweet little guys. So I felt it was time to give them some love again and bring them to the blog 🙂 Scroll to the bottom for the full recipe, and try not to eat all the dough! Continue reading
