LISTENING: I just discovered The Unlikely Candidates — they sound like a grown up version of Fall Out Boy mixed with a toned down version of Panic at the Disco, and I love their music. I’m SO digging their songs follow my feet and trampoline! Makes me want to fall in love all over again. I also just stumbled upon The Paper Kites and I’m obsessed with their style. Favorite songs so far are Tenenbaum, Young, and Bloom. Their music gives off a summer hammock during golden hour vibe, and I’m sad I missed their tour in 2014! Right this second, I’m listening to wishing wells by one of my other favorite bands, The Colourist. Love them always.
READING: The Little Book of Lettering. I got it for Christmas a couple years ago, and always look to it for inspiration when I hit a mental creativity roadblock.
FEELING: Restless. I wish I had a disposable gas allowance so I could drive to all the pretty places I want to visit. Some of these include doing runs outside San Diego, camping in Joshua Tree, and hiking through Arches National Park in Utah.
WANTING: The summer to come! I can’t wait for more road trips with John, visiting Portland again, and overall for taking a much needed break from grad school not gonna lie. Only 5 more weeks!
THINKING ABOUT: How I’m turning 26 this year. I remember being young (hey I know, 26 IS young) and thinking my twenties seemed so far off, and here I am more than halfway through them! Life is too fast! Plus this birthday will find me at Disneyland with my favorite guy in the universe, so I’m not complaining! 😉
