40 Fall Family Activities for Warm Climates

I love everything about Fall – it’s my favorite season! I love having a fire burning, cozying up in a big chair under a blanket, making cookies and watching the leaves fall outside. But the only time I’ve ever been able to experience real fall weather like that was during those glorious years I lived in Washington state! I went apple picking, bundled up in layers, saw the leaves change colors and fall from trees, and even taught myself to crochet my own scarves. It was great.

Now that I’m back in San Diego where I grew up, the only “Fall” experience we get is if we have the AC on high and burn a scented candle, pretending it’s not still 80 degrees outside. Heck, the leaves don’t even change around here! And, you can still find people at the beach in December and January. This might sound like the perfect place to live for some, but for those of us who crave seasons and snow days, not so much. Ha!

There are still plenty of ways to make the most out of Fall if you live in a warm city that doesn’t get seasons, and lucky for us my blogger friend Lydia from Being Mrs. McIntosh made a list of 40 things to do if you live in a warm climate that I’m sharing with you all today! Lydia lives in Florida, but is originally from Ohio (so you can guess at her love for seasons!). Her blog exists to encourage and inspire moms and wives to fulfill their purpose according to God’s calling, while creating a beautiful home on a budget. On her blog and on her Instagram, she shares tons of DIY ideas (even DIY fails that will give you a good laugh), smart ways to be financially savvy, and writes truth and encouragement about all things homemaking and motherhood.

With her ideas, you can create a fun and budget-friendly to-do list for every weekend until Thanksgiving. After, head to this post on her blog to get access to printable recipes and directions for several of her activities such as caramel fondue dip and roasted pumpkin seeds! Enjoy!
